Mission
To strive to create and maintain an environment providing nutrition, physical, social and spiritual well being. To encourage senior and disabled citizens to be productive members of the community.
Vision
A society where elders and disabled are healthy, happy, empowered and socially integrated. We aim to contribute to the building of a society in which people are encouraged and enabled to age productively and with dignity.
A place to gather
Our Senior Center is in the heart of downtown Genesee, Idaho.
Nutrition and Socializing
In September through May, members and guests come together on Monday and Friday to enjoy a meal and each other's company. On Monday the emphasis is socializing, special speakers, crafts and games. Fridays alternate between a potluck luncheon and bingo. From June through August, a meal and socializing continue on Mondays with bingo offered on the third Friday each month.
Bingo!
On bingo days, members and guests play bingo after enjoying a nutritious meal. It's been known to get a bit rowdy.
Health monitoring
Nurse Millie Krasselt (a member of Genesee Seniors) visits our Senior Center the 2nd Friday of each month from September through May. Member's wishing to do so can have their blood pressure checked.
